Forest truck:  This class is for forestry industry trucks.

Prior to 1982, the class code for forest industry trucks was "O".

Beginning in 1982, the plate number format is, from left to right, the Alabama county codes prefix, the "L" plate code and gross vehicle weight code number, then the plate number.  The gross vehicle weight code numbers are as follows:

"L1" = under 30,000 lbs.
"L2" = 30,001 lbs. to 42,000 lbs.
