1997 blue/white base:  This design was introduced in 1997 ("1997" expiration sticker) along side the red/white/blue passenger design.  The plate number format was "000 AA" with the universal wheelchair symbol at the left.  These plates were not county coded.

2002 "Stars Fell On" base:  This design was introduced in 2002 ("2002" expiration sticker) along side the passenger plates of the same design.  Across the top of the plate are the words from an old song about Alabama.  These plates were not county coded.
