1981 blue/yellow screened "ALASKA":  This base began in 1981 ("82" expiration stickers) and replaced the 1976 bear plate by the end of 1982.  To date, it is the only blue/yellow type that had the state name screened on the plate.  The plate number format is "YYA 000".
