PASSENGER 1983 green/white passenger base: This base began in 1983 and was renewed each year with stickers.

large peach "...on my mind" passenger base: This design began in 1997 with a 1998 expiration, the "98" being screened into the stickerwell. This plate marked the first time Georgia used staggered registration with Georgia being the last state in the country to do so. Stickers were used for renewals. The plate number format began with "000 AAA", but later used "00000 QA" and "0000 AAA". The county of residence appears at the bottom of the plate in the form of a sticker. 1999 (black/reflective white) Cherokee County vg $3.00 "696 JAE" (11231)

"www.GEORGIA.gov" BASE: This design was issued beginning in 2004 (screened "05" in right stickerwell) and initially was intended to begin a complete reissue to all vehicles. Due to cost restraints, the state decided to scrap the reissue and the previous base was allowed to continue. Along the top is the state's website address to promote tourism in Georgia and the plate number format was flipped to "AAA 0000". A new peach logo with the state outline in the center was added as a plate number separator. Finally, this base continued issuing separate month and year stickers as the previous base did, but in 2006 the stickers were modified. These stickers have both the month and year on the same sticker, as well as the plate number and the county of issuance. 2005 (black/reflective gray) Barrow County natural exc $3.00 "ALQ 0287" (11244)
(black/reflective gray) Troup County natural exc $3.00 "ANR 5759" (11247)
(black/reflective gray) Hall County natural exc $3.00 "ATY 7968" (11248)
"GEORGIA.gov" BASE: The state decided to modify the design by removing the grey fade coloring, moving the peach logo to the center of the plate (which doesn't make sense to me because now the plate number covers the logo), and eliminate the "www." portion of the website address. The plate number format continued where the grey design left off. 2007 (black/reflective gray) Clayton County natural vg $3.00 "AWE 9148" (11249)
