PASSENGER

1930 (black/yellow) mint ***PAIR*** $50.00

Idaho has county coded its plates since 1932.  See the county code page.

1982 screened "IDAHO" base:  Similar to the previous design with "IDAHO" now screened.  The "A" in the state name appears as a tree and snow-capped mountain peaks.

1985 green/white with screened mountains base:  This design is a modification of the previous screened "IDAHO", but includes stylized mountains at the top right, a green double-line under the mountains and "IDAHO", and a green double-line at the bottom of the plate.  There are three variations of this design:

Type I: short county code with top green line extending to the end of the plate at left
Type II: tall county code with shortened top green line
Type III: thin county code with shortened top green line like type II above

1990 (green/reflective white) Nez Perce County type II natural vg $3.00 (actual plate)

1991 red/white/blue base:  This design was born from the popular centennial design and originally had a small stacked (or single letter) county code.  Approximately 1998, the state changed to a full sized county code for clarity.

Small-sized county code:

1994 (blue/red, white & blue) Twin Falls County vg $3.00 (actual plate)

Full-sized county code:

2001 (blue/red, white & blue) Nez Perce County natural vg $3.00 (actual plate)

2002 (blue/red, white & blue) Ada County vg $3.00

2002 (blue/red, white & blue) Bannock County natural vg $3.00 (actual plate)

2002 (blue/red, white & blue) Bonneville County vg $3.00
