TRAILER This class has a fiscal year of July 1st through June 30th, hence the "JUN" as the expiration on the plate. The stacked "T/x" is the plate code for trailers with the "x" being the weight code. Weight code "A" is for light trailers and the design (at least as of the "Abe" design) is similar to passenger plates. Higher weight codes are similar to the commercial trucks with solid color designs. According to the Illinois website (as of February 4, 2012), the weight classes are listed below. It is not known when this list was established, so I don't know if there are any differences between the list and what was available prior to 2012:
1990 (blue/reflective
light blue) "B" m $1.50 "51 391 TB" (12469)
1996 green/white base: The following design was the first multiyear design and began in 1996 ("97" renewal sticker). It was issued along side the blue bar passenger design. The renewal sticker was the full width of the stickerwell. 1996 (green/reflective white) "C" m $2.00 "47 680 TC" (12795)
