1983 sunflower base:  The following design began in 1983.  The passenger version of this design ran concurrently with the 1981 base through 1987 ("88" expiration sticker).  The stacked 2-letter prefix is the county code (see county code page).  The year sticker will have "TRUCK" on it and the sticker serial number will begin with the same two-letter county code as the plate.
