PASSENGER, 1987 WHITE "1AAA000" BASE

Passenger:  Up to 1975 (embossed "76" expiration), Mississippi issued yearly plates.  Starting with the 1976 bicentennial base (screened "'77" expiration), Mississippi has issued multiyear plates that are renewed with a sticker.  Periodically, the state has issued a new design and replaced everyone's plate.  Because Mississippi county codes the plates, the pages can get enormous to download.  I have a large selection of counties on different bases, so beginning with the 1987 white "1AAA000" plate, I have split the pages into the following bases, each being a link to my website page of that type:

1987 white base:  The following design was introduced in 1987 ("88" expiration sticker) and fully replaced all 1982 "AAA 000" base plates, even though it was the same design.  The "1AAA000" base ran through 1992 ("93" expiration sticker) and continued to have the county name embossed at the bottom.
