PASSENGER, 1993 FADING BLUE BASE Passenger: Up to 1975 (embossed "76" expiration), Mississippi issued yearly plates. Starting with the 1976 bicentennial base (screened "'77" expiration), Mississippi has issued multiyear plates that are renewed with a sticker. Periodically, the state has issued a new design and replaced everyone's plate. Because Mississippi county codes the plates, the pages can get enormous to download. I have a large selection of counties on different bases, so beginning with the 1987 white "1AAA000" plate, I have split the pages into the following bases, each being a link to my website page of that type:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1993 fading blue base: The following "fading blue" design was introduced in 1993 ("94" expiration sticker) and ran through 1996 ("97" expiration sticker). The passenger plate number format was "AAA 000" with the county name embossed at the bottom. This base was originally produced using steel, but later went to an aluminum composition. 1994 (blue/reflective multicolored) Oktibbeha County steel vg $3.00 "PDE 625" (11587)
1994 (blue/reflective multicolored) Webster County steel natural vg $3.00 "WSC 383" (11588)
1994 (blue/reflective multicolored) Webster County steel vg $3.00 "WSD 240" (11589)
1998 (blue/reflective multicolored) Webster County aluminum natural vg $3.00 "WSK 177" (11590)
