PASSENGER "72" base: This design was introduced in 1972 and was renewed with stickers up to 1975 before being replaced by the graphic bicentennial design. The border of the design resembles the state map outline. This is the last Nebraska base with non-staggered annual renewals. The plate number format had the county number as a prefix, followed by the plate number in the format of alpha then up to four numerals, (three for double digit county numbers), from "1" through "9999" (or "999"). When the county ran out of single alpha plate numbers, the plate number went to a double alpha. 1972 (red/reflective white) Hall County vg $3.00
