PASSENGER 1985 "Ski!" base: The following design began in 1985 ("86" expiration sticker). At first, the "000 AAA" plate format had large plate numbers, but beginning with the "EAA" series, the plate number dies were reduced in size. Starting with the "92" expiration stickers, the state went to a three-sticker format: county code sticker, expiration month sticker, and expiration year sticker (see Utah county codes page.) Starting with the 2003 expiration stickers, the state discontinued the county code stickers. 2005 (blue/reflective white) natural vg $3.00 "664 MZZ" (11572)
2005 (blue/reflective white) natural vg $3.00 "139 MWZ" (12022)
2008 (blue/reflective white) Washington County vg $3.00 "418 LWD" (11717)

2007 "LIFE ELEVATED" skier base: Utah modified both the skier and the arch plates in late 2007, both using the state's new "LIFE ELEVATED" slogan. Both use a new "A00 0AA" format with the skier starting with "A" and going forwards and the arch starting at "Z" and going backwards. The plate number progression advances the numbers to "999" before advancing the letters For example, "A99 9AA" is followed by "A00 0AB".
