1985 "Ski!" base:  The following design began in 1985 ("86" expiration sticker).  At first, the "000 AAA" plate format had large plate numbers, but beginning with the "EAA" series, the plate number dies were reduced in size.  Starting with the "92" expiration stickers, the state went to a three-sticker format: county code sticker, expiration month sticker, and expiration year sticker (see county code page.)  Starting with the 2003 expiration stickers, the state discontinued the county code stickers.
